Manyaleti Game Reserve Safari Day 2

For reasons I can't remember, the second day was slow, with not so many keeper shots. There were, as always, a ton of animals everywhere -- the abundance of the dry forest is unbelievable, and led me to the conclusion that we probably ATE most of our megafauna 10,000 years ago.

Home

This old lion was obviously feeling his years -- he would follow around the Cape Buffalo herd basically waiting for one of the animals to die. He had a friend whom you'll see tomorrow -- a younger lion that would actually kill things and then share with this old guy.

This chameleon stayed in the same spot the whole time I was on safari, and I photographed him numerous times. It was very buggy -- why leave when the food is coming at you?
